Soaking in applesauce

I got a pedicure tonight at a place I hadn't been to in quite some time. They've got the normal pedicure chairs with the attached foot baths. The lady took off my polish and dropped my feet into the tub for a soak. I quickly recoiled. It wasn't water. It was something I can only describe as a gel with the consistency of applesauce. And I'm not talkin' about the smooth kind.

I think you can kind of see the "chunks," right?
