Every summer, Wollman Rink in Central Park turns into kiddie heaven. Portable (read: unstable) rides are set up in every corner, cotton candy abounds and whack-a-mole booths are around every bend. In previous summers, I've visited with various friends and visitors but concentrated more on the two-year-old set. Today, because we had a 3:1 adult to child ratio, it was all about SEL. I flew in an airplane, swung in the swings, paddled in the bumper boats and did the weird swing-on-your-stomach thing.
They might be kiddie rides but I sure got my $14 unlimited-ride-bracelet's-worth.

Still no comment about your out of town guests who came in to rescue you from your week? Offensive!
