Tonight was the first wetsuit swim practice in Brooklyn. It was supposed to be an opportunity for us to familiarize ourselves with the wetsuits and learn how to use them to our advantage in the water. Unfortunately, after my experience on Saturday, I was less than eager about climbing back into that thing.
Here we are in the locker room, all suited up and ready to head out. After a few laps and a bit of coaching, I was much happier. Although that might have been due to the lack of waves and salt water. The real test will be on Saturday morning off the shores of Coney Island. Anyone have a Valium?
